Materials & making
Mouth blown by skilled glassblowers to create a classic cakestand with dome. The foot of the cakestand is shaped and applied by hand to the stem while the glass is still malleable. The handle on the dome is drawn from molten glass and applied by hand to the dome. The rims of both are melted under a flame to achieve a soft rounded finish.
